Behind the Lens

Brittney is a 2016 graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design in Photography (Cum Laude) with a minor in Business and has remained in Central Ohio to further her professional career. She is currently working on creative teams, storytelling with clients, collaborating with peers and mentors, and progressing her personal projects. With a camera in hand since the young age of five, she has never stopped playing.

Artist Statement

Photographer and Artist Brittney Combs combines her passions for visual artistry into one journey: working professionally in commercial studios and independently exploring fine art and documentary projects. In each genre she entices viewers to personally associate with her work, inviting them in for a closer look – creating a visual dialogue and inspiring connection. This is often emphasized by her enthusiasm for tactility and pushed depth of field, as well as discovering and constructing narratives. Composition holds strong importance, second to concept. She primarily focuses on digital creation with minimal post-production editing, occasionally returning to 35mm/120mm film or alternative printing processes when a creative idea necessitates such tangible fun. 

Combs is currently working full time as a Freelance Photographer and Digital Technician.
